This full leaf variety of green tea is organically grown in the Hunan province, of south central China. Often referred to by its common name Chunmee, we fairly source this tea directly from the growing cooperative in this region. Abundant in antioxidants, it has a bold and balanced green tea flavour, with subtle hints of smokiness, reminiscent of the pan firing process it undergoes in production.

The clear pouch that holds the tea bags is made from a renewable plant-based cellophane and can easily be home composted.

These ceramic tea canisters, featuring engraved bamboo lids, protect your tea with an airtight seal and elimination of light. They have been designed to be reused.

The pyramid tea bags are not made from plastic. They are made from biodegradable, non-GMO, plant-based material which meets all compostability standards in Japan, North America and Europe. It is important to note these tea bags will take longer than plant matter to decompose. The material manufacturer recommends commercial composting as a quicker alternative to address this longer breakdown time.

Place 1 pyramid into a cup (250ml) and add boiling, filtered water at 70ºc- 80ºc. Allow to infuse for 2- 3 minutes, and then remove the bag and serve.
